Food Prices in DKI Jakarta, Thursday (September 18, 2025): Onion Prices Rise, Chicken Meat Falls

Prices of several food commodities in DKI Jakarta today were observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Thursday (18/9/2025) at 13:56 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased.

Commodities with increased prices are bulk wheat flour, pure beef, red onion, packaged wheat flour, and mackerel.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as large red chili, consumption salt, skipjack tuna, bulk cooking oil, and curly red chili decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

The red onion commodity surged the highest by Rp2,500 (5.71%) to Rp46,250 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of broiler chicken meat dropped the sharpest by Rp808 (1.97%) to Rp40,125 per kg.
