Today's Food Prices in East Java: Salt Prices Up, Onion Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (31/5/2024) at 12:58 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 5 commodities increased and 15 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are iodized fine salt, milkfish, Indian mackerel, skipjack tuna, and dry soybean (import).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as farmer-level corn, shallots, simple packaged cooking oil, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and pure beef have decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase of Rp110 (1.2%) to Rp9,250 per kg. Shallots saw the lowest price decrease of Rp940 (2.15%) to Rp42,740 per kg.
