December: Inflation for Household Furnishings, Equipment, and Routine Maintenance in Palembang City -0.34%

In December, the price of components contributing to inflation in home and garden equipment and supplies in Palembang City was -0.34%. Although this figure decreased, it remained higher than the previous month's decrease of 0.7%. Among the nine inflation groups measured in this region, the household equipment, supplies, and routine maintenance group contributed -0.12% to inflation in Palembang City.

The Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) reported that the consumer price index (CPI) for household equipment, supplies, and routine maintenance in Palembang City was at 104.1 in December 2024, lower than the previous month's 104.45.

Compared to the same month last year, inflation for household equipment, supplies, and routine maintenance has decreased by 15.66% (year-on-year/YoY). Compared to the beginning of the year, the prices of components contributing to inflation in Palembang City have grown by 2.27% (year-to-date/YTD).

Compared to the other 11 groups, this inflation group ranked eighth.

Indonesia's inflation in September 2024 decreased by 0.12% month-on-month and -8.4% year-on-year. Although lower than the previous month's inflation, this monthly inflation rate was not as high as the same period last year, which was recorded at 2.86%.
