Compared to the COVID-19 pandemic year of 2020, the region's economic growth is significantly higher. At the end of 2020, post-COVID, growth recorded a decrease of 2.13%.
According to BPS (Statistics Indonesia) publications, with a total population of 811,800, the GRDP per capita in the region is recorded at Rp33,290,000/capita/year. Nationally, this ranks 366th.
Of the 17 sectors driving the economy in this regency, the manufacturing industry is the leading sector.
The manufacturing industry ranks first. In 2023, this sector contributed the largest amount to the GRDP, reaching Rp6.97 trillion, a 4.32% increase.
Following this is the agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sector, which grew by 1.28% to Rp6.17 trillion, and the wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles sector, which grew by 5.82% to Rp5.64 trillion.
The final sector in the top five is transportation and warehousing, with a GRDP of Rp1.48 trillion. This sector recorded a 7.9% growth compared to the previous year's Rp1.26 trillion.
