Today's Food Prices in Indonesia February 20, 2026: Garlic, Bird's Eye Chili and Sugar Prices Rise

Several food commodity prices in Indonesia are observed to have increased today compared to yesterday.

Quoting data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Friday (February 20, 2026) at 14:23 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 9 have increased and 7 have decreased in price.

Commodities with price increases include medium rice, bulk granulated sugar, wheat flour, large red chili, and broiler chicken meat.

Meanwhile, prices of some commodities such as Honan garlic, beef hindquarter, premium packaged palm cooking oil, imported soybeans, and Minyakita have decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Large red chili saw the highest price increase of Rp3,920 (8.83%) to Rp48,335 per kg. As for Honan garlic, its price decreased the most by Rp155 (0.42%) to Rp36,703 per kg.

5. Shallots: Rp41,535 per kg (up 0.73%)
6. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp41,184 per kg (up 0.01%)
7. Honan Garlic: Rp36,703 per kg (down 0.42%)
8. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp30,906 per kg (up 0.09%)
9. Premium Packaged Palm Cooking Oil: Rp21,140 per liter (down 0.14%)
10. Bulk Palm Cooking Oil: Rp18,108 per liter (down 0.05%)
