Based on the latest survey by *Kompas* Research and Development (Litbang), the respondent satisfaction rate with the performance of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and Vice President Ma'ruf Amin's administration reached 74.3% in August 2023.
"Three-quarters (74.3%) of the public expressed their satisfaction with the cabinet's efforts in resolving various issues in the country," wrote the *Kompas* Litbang team in their report on Monday (21/8/2023).
This public satisfaction rate is the highest during Jokowi's second term.
*Kompas* Litbang noted that since October 2019, the respondent satisfaction rate has never exceeded 75%. The highest figure previously achieved was 73.9% in January 2022.
More specifically, this survey also recorded public satisfaction with Jokowi's administration's performance in various sectors, including political security, social welfare, law enforcement, and the economy.
In the political and security category, satisfaction levels were higher than the other three categories.
79.3% of respondents were satisfied with Jokowi's administration's performance in the field of politics and security, while 20.7% were dissatisfied.
"The government's efforts to guarantee freedom of expression and provide opportunities for overseeing and controlling the government's operations have increased," explained the *Kompas* Litbang team.
This was followed by respondent satisfaction in the social welfare sector, with 76.4% of respondents expressing satisfaction and 23.6% dissatisfaction.
Satisfaction in the areas of law enforcement and the economy received lower proportions, with 61.9% of respondents stating satisfaction and 38.1% dissatisfaction.
In the economic category, 61.5% of respondents stated satisfaction and 38.5% answered dissatisfaction.
This periodic survey involved 1,364 respondents, randomly selected using a stratified systematic sampling method in 38 provinces in Indonesia.
Data collection was conducted from July 27 to August 7, 2023, through face-to-face interviews. The margin of error is approximately 2.65%, and the confidence level is 95%.
