The Price of Medium I Quality Rice in West Sumatra is the Highest in Indonesia (Wednesday, April 20, 2022)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded an average daily price of IDR 13,010 per kg for medium I quality rice (per kg) in modern markets across several provinces as of Wednesday, April 20, 2022. Overall, the average this week increased compared to last week's average of IDR 12,960 per kg.

Medium I quality rice in modern markets in West Sumatra was the most expensive in Indonesia, selling at IDR 15,100 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of medium I quality rice in this province has not changed. The highest price ever recorded in this region is IDR 15,100 per kg.

Meanwhile, in modern markets in Central Java, medium I quality rice was sold at IDR 14,300 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Then, in third place, the price of medium I quality rice in Gorontalo was IDR 13,800 per kg, West Kalimantan IDR 13,500 per kg, and West Papua IDR 13,350 per kg.

Meanwhile, there are seven provinces with medium I quality rice sales below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest selling prices for medium I quality rice are Bali, East Java, and Jambi.
