Latest West Sumatra Food Prices: Salt Prices Up, Chili Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (25/6/2024) at 11:43 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include chicken eggs, simple packaged cooking oil, bulk wheat flour, skipjack tuna, and premium rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as curly red chilies, broiler chicken, red chili peppers, shallots, and pure beef decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Bulk wheat flour experienced the highest price increase, up by Rp440 (4.43%) to Rp10,380 per kg. Red chili peppers saw the sharpest price drop, down Rp9,580 (16.96%) to Rp46,900 per kg.

6. Garlic Bulbs: Rp40,040 per kg (up 0.5%)
7. Skipjack Tuna: Rp39,230 per kg (up 2.06%)
8. Broiler Chicken: Rp34,210 per kg (down 0.47%)
9. Milkfish: Rp30,000 per kg (down 4.58%)
10. Chicken Eggs: Rp29,120 per kg (up 0.52%)
