Latest Food Prices in East Java: Chili Prices Rise, Salt Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (24/7/2024) at 15.11 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), bulk cooking oil, farmer-level corn, red chilies, and medium-grain rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as dry soybean (import), pure beef, garlic bulbs, shallots, and mackerel decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Farmer-level corn experienced the highest price increase, jumping by Rp80 (1.59%) to Rp5,120 per kg. Iodized fine salt saw the sharpest price drop, decreasing by Rp490 (5.03%) to Rp9,260 per kg.

6. Mackerel: Rp32,880 per kg (down 1.97%)
7. Milkfish: Rp32,490 per kg (down 0.88%)
8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp29,880 per kg (down 1.32%)
9. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp26,520 per kg (down 0.34%)
