Chicken Prices Highest in These 10 Provinces (Monday, September 12, 2022)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded an average daily price of chicken meat (per kg) in modern markets across several provinces at Rp 42,940 per kg, as of Monday, September 12, 2022. Overall, the average this week decreased compared to the previous week's average of Rp 43,100 per kg.

The daily price of chicken meat in modern markets in DKI Jakarta was the most expensive in Indonesia, with a selling price of Rp 52,200 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of chicken meat in this province did not change. The highest selling price ever recorded in this region was Rp 57,450 per kg.

Meanwhile, in modern markets in Maluku, the price of chicken meat was sold at Rp 51,900 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Then, in third place, the price of chicken meat in East Nusa Tenggara was Rp 51,850 per kg, Jambi Rp 51,150 per kg, and Gorontalo Rp 48,450 per kg.

Meanwhile, there were 16 provinces with chicken meat sales prices below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest chicken meat selling prices were North Kalimantan, North Sumatra, and West Sulawesi.
