Central Java Food Prices Saturday (September 14th): Salt Up, Oil Down

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Saturday (14/9/2024) at 08.01 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include dry soybean (import), fine iodized salt, SPHP rice, red chilies, and garlic cloves.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), shallots, bulk wheat flour, premium rice, and pure beef decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Fine iodized salt experienced the highest price increase of Rp3,000 (26.93%), reaching Rp14,140 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of bulk cooking oil saw the sharpest decrease of Rp1,120 (6.85%), reaching Rp15,230 per liter.

6. Milkfish: Rp32,400 per kg (down 1.7%)
7. Red Chili Peppers: Rp30,000 per kg (down 4.7%)
8. Red Curly Chili: Rp26,830 per kg (up 21.13%)
9. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp25,000 per kg (down 2.19%)
10. Shallots: Rp22,490 per kg (down 2.93%)
11. Simple Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp17,750 per liter (up 3.98%)
