Food Prices in Yogyakarta Special Region on Tuesday (January 21st): Salt Up, Chilies Down

The prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta Special Region today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (21/01/2025) at 11:34 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 5 commodities increased and 17 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are packaged cooking oil, Minyakita (branded cooking oil), SPHP rice, milkfish, and iodized fine salt.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as medium rice, garlic bulbs, red chili peppers, Indian mackerel, and skipjack tuna decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt experienced the highest price increase of Rp304 (2.66%) to Rp11,727 per kg. Meanwhile, red chili peppers saw the sharpest price decrease of Rp1,103 (1.58%) to Rp68,778 per kg.
