Price of Fresh Layer Chicken Eggs in Traditional Markets for the February 2025-2026 Period

According to the latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center (PIHPS) panel, the daily price of fresh layer chicken eggs in traditional markets in West Papua Province is recorded at Rp34.7 thousand. This price is unchanged compared to the previous day as well as in the last week.

Compared to the price 30 days ago, the daily price of fresh layer chicken eggs in traditional markets has decreased from the previously recorded Rp36 thousand .

Meanwhile, the daily price of fresh layer chicken eggs in traditional markets in West Papua over the past three months has fallen by 11.25%. Based on historical food price records from the PIHPS price panel, the daily price of fresh layer chicken eggs in traditional markets in West Papua Province was traded at Rp39.1 thousand.

The record increase in the daily price of fresh layer chicken eggs in traditional markets in this province was previously recorded in December 2018 with an increase of 68.33%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in March 2020 with a decrease of -27%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the price of nine staple foods (sembako) today in West Papua shows that 12 commodities have decreased and 14 others have increased. The sembako with decreasing prices are Fresh Layer Chicken Eggs, Green Bird's Eye Chili, Chicken Meat, Fresh Broiler Chicken Meat, Bird's Eye Chili, Low Quality II Rice, Curly Red Chili, Chicken Eggs, Red Chili, Red Bird's Eye Chili, Low Quality I Rice and Large Red Chili.
