Latest Food Prices in DKI Jakarta: Onion, Rice, and Sugar Prices Drop

Prices of several food commodities in DKI Jakarta today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

According to data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (2/9/2025) at 11:17 AM WIB, out of 21 commodities, 7 increased and 13 decreased.

Commodities with price increases include bulk wheat flour, packaged wheat flour, broiler eggs, Minyakita cooking oil, and curly red chilies.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as broiler meat, red cayenne pepper, red onions, mackerel, and packaged cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

Large red chilies saw the highest jump of Rp2,723 (5.85%) to Rp49,286 per kg. Red onions, however, experienced the deepest drop of Rp3,096 (6.52%) to Rp44,375 per kg.

3. Curly Red Chilies: Rp45,625 per kg (up 4.82%)
4. Red Onions: Rp44,375 per kg (down 6.52%)
5. Milkfish: Rp44,111 per kg (down 2.98%)
6. Skipjack Tuna: Rp43,889 per kg (down 0.25%)
7. Garlic Bulbs: Rp42,626 per kg (down 1.27%)
8. Red Cayenne Pepper: Rp41,875 per kg (down 1.81%)
9. Mackerel: Rp41,111 per kg (down 2.12%)
10. Broiler Meat: Rp36,556 per kg (down 1.03%)
11. Broiler Eggs: Rp28,583 per kg (up 1.87%)
12. Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp20,273 per liter (down 2.37%)
13. Bulk Cooking Oil: Rp18,600 per liter (down 2.5%)
14. Consumption Sugar: Rp18,273 per kg (down 0.44%)
