Central Java Food Prices (June 9th): Salt Up, Beef Down

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to be higher compared to yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Sunday (9/6/2024) at 10:25 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 10 commodities increased in price and 10 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include farmer-level corn, dry soybean (import), milkfish, simple packaged cooking oil, and granulated sugar.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as broiler chicken, garlic cloves, skipjack tuna, medium rice, and bulk wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp810 (7.09%) to Rp12,230 per kg. Skipjack tuna saw the lowest price decrease, dropping Rp560 (1.8%) to Rp30,540 per kg.
