Banten Food Price Update Today: Chicken Price Up, Onion Price Down (Tuesday, April 9, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Tuesday (9/4/2024) at 09.08 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include red chilies, broiler chicken, mackerel, milkfish, and bulk wheat flour.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as simple packaged cooking oil, granulated sugar, medium rice, premium rice, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Milkfish prices surged the highest by Rp7,680 (24.27%) to Rp39,320 per kg. Meanwhile, shallots saw the lowest price decrease of Rp7,800 (16.39%) to Rp39,790 per kg.
