Today's Food Prices in East Java: Onion and Chili Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (May 7, 2024) at 13:55 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include packaged simple cooking oil, granulated sugar, premium rice, milkfish, and corn at the farmer level.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as Indian mackerel, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), red chilies, curly red chilies, and dry soybean (import) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Medium rice prices surged the highest by Rp180 (1.46%) to Rp12,510 per kg. The price of Indian mackerel decreased the most, by Rp1,080 (3.22%) to Rp32,420 per kg.
