Today's Food Price Update in Riau: Salt and Onion Prices Rise (Thursday, January 11, 2024)

Prices of several food commodities in Riau today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Thursday (11/1/2024) at 14:47 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 15 commodities increased and 4 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include packaged cooking oil (simple packaging), medium-grain rice, broiler chicken meat, corn (at the farmer level), and Indian mackerel.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk cooking oil, premium rice, shallots, and pure beef decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of curly red chilies saw the highest increase, jumping by Rp1,910 (3.97%) to Rp49,970 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of pure beef saw the lowest decrease, dropping by Rp1,440 (0.97%) to Rp147,390 per kg.
