The daily price of medium-quality grade II rice in Riau Islands Province's modern markets has increased by 1.5% over the past month.

Based on the National Strategic Food Price Information Center dashboard at 17:23 WIB, the daily price of medium-quality grade II rice in modern markets in Riau Islands Province showed no change compared to the previous day or the last week.

However, over the past month, the daily price of medium-quality grade II rice in modern markets has increased from the previous record of Rp13,300 per kg.

Meanwhile, the daily price of medium-quality grade II rice in modern markets in Riau Islands Province over the past three months has increased by 1.5% from the previous price of Rp13,300 per kg.

The record high for the daily price of medium-quality grade II rice in modern markets in this province was previously recorded in September 2016 with a 26.82% increase, and the lowest decrease was also recorded in September 2016 at -19.94%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in Riau Islands Province show ten commodities decreased and 19 others increased. The basic commodities with price decreases are Granulated Sugar, Red Onion, Medium-Sized White Onion, Super I Quality Rice, Premium Quality Granulated Sugar, Fresh Chicken Eggs, Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 2, Medium-Sized Red Onion, White Onion, and Local Granulated Sugar.

The following are the prices of basic commodities monitored by PIHPS today compared to the price changes over the past month in Riau Islands Province:

8. Green Bird's Eye Chili per kg: Rp96,400 (up 88.28%)
9. Cooking Oil per kg: Rp19,450 (up 2.91%)
10. Medium I Quality Rice per kg: Rp16,150 (up 20.52%)
