Food Prices in Indonesia Thursday (23/10): Rice Prices Up, Red Chili Down

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today were observed to decrease compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (23/10/2025) at 09.13 AM WIB, out of 25 commodities, 7 increased and 18 decreased.

Commodities with increased prices include milkfish, medium rice, skipjack tuna, bulk wheat flour, and premium rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk cooking oil, mackerel, garlic cloves, packaged cooking oil, and curly red chilies decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Skipjack tuna prices rose the highest by Rp671 (1.93%) to Rp35,490 per kg. Meanwhile, large red chili prices fell the deepest by Rp4,436 (9.09%) to Rp44,352 per kg.

Below is the complete list of 25 food commodity prices in Indonesia according to Bapanas on October 23, 2025 at 09.13 AM WIB.

6. Mackerel: Rp41,787 per kg (down 0.13%)

9. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp38,483 per kg (up 0.48%)
