Food Prices in South Sumatra Today: Red Chili Prices Up, Onions Down

Prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (August 7, 2025) at 12:11 PM WIB, out of 23 commodities, 16 commodities increased and 5 commodities decreased.

Commodities with increased prices are large red chili, bulk wheat flour, broiler chicken meat, consumption sugar, and skipjack tuna.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as curly red chili, packaged wheat flour, dried soybean (imported), broiler eggs, and red onion decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Large red chili commodity surged the highest by Rp1,128 (3.18%) to Rp36,609 per kg. Meanwhile, red onion prices dropped the deepest by Rp934 (1.82%) to Rp50,308 per kg.
