Today's Food Prices in Central Java: Rice Prices Increase

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (2/6/2024) at 12:49 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include red chilies, milkfish, skipjack tuna, medium rice, and premium rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk wheat flour, shallots, simple packaged cooking oil, farmer-level corn, and curly red chilies decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices saw the highest increase, jumping Rp1,110 (3.54%) to Rp32,460 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of fine iodized salt saw the lowest decrease, dropping Rp370 (3.18%) to Rp11,260 per kg.

8. Mackerel: Rp31,730 per kg (up 1.63%)
9. Skipjack Tuna: Rp31,300 per kg (up 1.23%)
