Current Food Prices in Jambi: Chicken Prices Up, Chili Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Jambi today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Thursday (16/5/2024) at 14.41 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include skipjack tuna, chicken eggs, premium rice, milkfish, and Indian mackerel.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, red chilies, red onions, medium rice, and simple packaged cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Milkfish prices saw the highest increase, jumping by Rp530 (1.9%) to Rp28,460 per kg. Meanwhile, red chili prices saw the lowest decrease, dropping by Rp2,360 (4.62%) to Rp48,670 per kg.
