Indonesia Food Price Update Today: Chili Prices Rise, Onion Prices Fall (Monday, February 19, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (February 19, 2024) at 09:24 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 13 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include garlic bulbs, simple packaged cooking oil, dry soybean (import), bulk cooking oil, and medium-grain rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), milkfish, mackerel, pure beef, and skipjack tuna decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili peppers saw the highest price increase, up Rp2,330 (3.93%) to Rp61,550 per kg. Milkfish had the lowest price decrease, down Rp860 (2.61%) to Rp32,110 per kg.
