Indonesia's Food Prices on Monday (September 2nd): Oil and Rice Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Monday (September 2nd, 2024) at 1:31 PM WIB, out of 21 commodities, 9 commodities increased in price and 11 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include garlic bulbs, skipjack tuna, granulated sugar, dry soybean (import), and shallots.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as pure beef, chicken eggs, red chilies, bulk wheat flour, and milkfish decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase, up by Rp250 (2.19%) to Rp11,690 per kg. Red chilies saw the sharpest price drop, down by Rp1,190 (2.51%) to Rp46,250 per kg.
