Latest Food Prices in Banten: Salt Up, Chilies Down

Food prices in Banten today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Tuesday (May 7, 2024) at 2:51 PM WIB, out of 20 commodities, 11 commodities increased in price and 8 decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include pure beef, iodized fine salt, broiler chicken, garlic cloves, and bulk cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as farmer-level corn, mackerel, chicken eggs, bulk wheat flour, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp1,210 (12.19%) to Rp11,140 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of red chilies saw the lowest decrease, falling Rp3,450 (6.29%) to Rp51,400 per kg.
