Red Onion Prices in Traditional Markets for the February 2025-2026 Period

According to the latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center (PIHPS) panel, the daily red onion price in traditional markets in Bali province is recorded at Rp24,250 per kg. This price remains unchanged compared to the previous day and also over the past week.

Compared to the price 30 days ago, the daily red onion price in traditional markets has increased from the previously recorded Rp22,150 per kg.

Meanwhile, the daily red onion price in traditional markets in Bali over the past three months has decreased by 43.93%. Based on historical food price records from the PIHPS price panel, the daily red onion price in traditional markets in Bali province was traded at Rp43,250 per kg.

The record increase in daily red onion prices in traditional markets in this province was previously recorded in December 2023 with an increase of 118.51%, and the lowest decrease was also recorded in December 2023 with a decrease of -53.44%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine staple foods (sembako) in Bali today show that 18 commodities have decreased and 10 have increased. The sembako with decreasing prices are Chicken Eggs, Green Bird's Eye Chili, Medium I Quality Rice, Bird's Eye Chili, Fresh Layer Chicken Eggs, Premium Quality Granulated Sugar, Beef, Grade 1 Beef, Red Chili, Super I Quality Rice, Large Red Chili, Medium II Quality Rice, Curly Red Chili, Rice, Red Bird's Eye Chili, Granulated Sugar, Lower II Quality Rice and Super II Quality Rice.

Below are the prices of nine staple foods monitored by PIHPS today compared to price developments over the past month in Bali province:

2. Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 2 per Kg: Rp19,600 per kg (up 1.03%)
3. Garlic per Kg: Rp58,000 per kg (up 0.87%)
4. Lower I Quality Rice per Kg: Rp15,100 per kg (unchanged)
5. Green Bird's Eye Chili per Kg: Rp36,100 per kg (down 23.84%)
6. Medium-Sized Garlic per Kg: Rp58,000 per kg (up 0.87%)
7. Medium I Quality Rice per Kg: Rp15,900 per kg (down 0.62%)
8. Bird's Eye Chili per Kg: Rp42,800 per kg (down 15.16%)
9. Grade 2 Beef per Kg: Rp184,150 per kg (unchanged)
10. Chicken Meat per Kg: Rp51,650 per kg (up 2.48%)
11. Cooking Oil per Kg: Rp20,300 per kg (up 1%)
12. Fresh Layer Chicken Meat per Kg: Rp51,650 per kg (up 2.48%)
13. Fresh Layer Chicken Eggs per Kg: Rp40,050 per kg (down 0.62%)
14. Premium Quality Granulated Sugar per Kg: Rp18,100 per kg (down 1.36%)
