Price of Grade Bawah I Rice in Traditional Markets for the Period April 2025-2026

According to the latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center (PIHPS) panel, the daily price of Grade Bawah I rice in traditional markets of West Papua province is recorded at Rp13,25 thousand. This price remains unchanged compared to the previous day as well as in the last week.

Meanwhile, compared to the last month, the daily price of Grade Bawah I rice in traditional markets has decreased from the previously recorded Rp13,35 thousand .

In the last three months, the daily price of Grade Bawah I rice in West Papua's traditional markets has dropped by 23.19%. Based on historical food price records from the PIHPS price panel, the daily price of Grade Bawah I rice in West Papua's traditional markets was traded at Rp17,25 thousand.

The record increase in the daily price of Grade Bawah I rice in traditional markets of this province was previously recorded in December 2018 with a 30% rise, and the lowest decrease was recorded in June 2024 with a -22.38% drop.

According to PIHPS monitoring, today's prices of nine staple commodities (sembako) in West Papua show that 12 commodities have decreased and 14 others have increased. The commodities with price decreases are Grade Bawah II Rice, Grade Medium I Rice, Green Bird's Eye Chili, Chicken Eggs, Red Chili, Large Red Chili, Curly Red Chili, Bird's Eye Chili, Fresh Broiler Chicken Meat, Chicken Meat, Red Bird's Eye Chili and Fresh Broiler Chicken Eggs.
