Central Java Food Prices Today: Salt Prices Up, Oil Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Saturday (19/10/2024) at 08.01 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include medium-grain rice, simple packaged cooking oil, skipjack tuna, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and milkfish.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as pure beef, granulated sugar, chicken eggs, dry soybean (import), and red chili peppers decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase of Rp3,060 (27.27%) to Rp14,280 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of bulk cooking oil decreased the most, by Rp1,180 (7.19%) to Rp15,230 per liter.

6. Chicken Meat: Rp33,500 per kg (down 5.18%)
7. Mackerel: Rp32,860 per kg (up 7.07%)
8. Red Onion: Rp25,920 per kg (up 3.56%)
9. Chicken Eggs: Rp24,490 per kg (down 5.48%)
10. Curly Red Chili Peppers: Rp23,920 per kg (up 13.15%)
