Central Java Food Price Update Today: Salt Prices Rise, Chicken Prices Fall (Monday, January 1, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday, January 1, 2024, at 10:23 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include mackerel, chicken eggs, granulated sugar, bulk wheat flour, and bulk cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as farmer-level corn, broiler chicken, dry soybean (import), red chilies, and red cayenne pepper decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Mackerel prices saw the highest increase of Rp770 (2.29%) to Rp34,380 per kg. Broiler chicken prices saw the lowest decrease of Rp900 (2.62%) to Rp33,450 per kg.
