Daily Fresh Chicken Meat Prices at Modern Markets, January 2024-2025

The latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center panel shows that the daily price of fresh broiler chicken in Maluku province's modern markets is recorded at Rp51,450 per kg. This price remains unchanged compared to the previous day, and similarly, there has been no change in price over the past week.

Compared to the price 30 days ago, the daily price of fresh broiler chicken in modern markets has decreased from Rp52,450 per kg.

Meanwhile, over the past three months, the daily price of fresh broiler chicken in Maluku's modern markets has increased by 6.3% from the previous price of Rp48,400 per kg.

The highest recorded price increase for daily fresh broiler chicken in the province's modern markets was in December 2020, with a 27.81% increase, while the lowest decrease was also recorded in December 2020, at -21.76%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, today's prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) in Maluku show 13 commodities decreased and eight increased. The commodities with price decreases are: Garlic, Rice, Cooking Oil, Fresh Broiler Chicken, Beef, Super I Quality Rice, Grade II Rice, Red Chili, Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 1, Medium-Sized Garlic, Grade 2 Beef, Curly Red Chili, and Chicken Meat.

The following are the prices of nine basic commodities monitored by PIHPS today, compared to price changes over the past month in Maluku province:

1. Garlic per kg: Rp56,250 (down 3.35%)
2. Grade I Rice per kg: Rp16,200 (unchanged)
3. Rice per kg: Rp17,000 (down 0.58%)
4. Granulated Sugar per kg: Rp18,500 (unchanged)
5. Green Bird's Eye Chili per kg: Rp90,000 (up 37.4%)
6. Cooking Oil per kg: Rp20,800 (down 11.11%)
7. Fresh Broiler Chicken per kg: Rp51,450 (down 1.91%)
8. Beef per kg: Rp154,950 (down 6.6%)
9. Super I Quality Rice per kg: Rp16,900 (down 1.17%)
10. Grade II Medium Rice per kg: Rp17,200 (unchanged)
11. Grade II Rice per kg: Rp16,700 (down 2.05%)
12. Fresh Chicken Eggs per kg: Rp40,900 (up 6.93%)
13. Red Chili per kg: Rp54,000 (down 26.23%)
14. Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 1 per kg: Rp20,850 (down 22.35%)
15. Shallot per kg: Rp65,900 (up 21.14%)
16. Medium-Sized Garlic per kg: Rp56,250 (down 3.35%)
17. Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 2 per kg: Rp20,750 (up 4.01%)
