Today's Food Prices in West Sumatra: Chili Prices Up, Sugar Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (15/11/2024) at 12.09 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include packaged cooking oil, farmer-level corn, shallots, red chilies, and broiler chicken.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as medium rice, granulated sugar, bulk cooking oil, SPHP rice, and red chilies decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of mackerel increased the most, by Rp2,840 (5.94%) to Rp50,670 per kg. The price of granulated sugar decreased the most sharply, by Rp330 (1.8%) to Rp18,050 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 21 food commodities in West Sumatra according to Bapanas on November 15, 2024, at 12.09 WIB.
