Latest Food Prices in South Sumatra: Red Chilies Up, Chicken Down

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Friday (18/4/2025) at 12:52 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include SPHP rice, Minyakita, red chilies, granulated sugar, and mackerel.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as pure beef, packaged cooking oil, chicken eggs, skipjack tuna, and broiler chicken decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Large red chilies saw the highest price increase of Rp3,616 (6.86%), reaching Rp56,320 per kg. Broiler chicken prices saw the largest decrease of Rp1,262 (4.07%), reaching Rp29,738 per kg.

6. Garlic Bulbs: Rp46,361 per kg (up 0.06%)
7. Mackerel: Rp37,125 per kg (up 0.48%)
8. Broiler Chicken: Rp29,738 per kg (down 4.07%)
9. Milkfish: Rp27,362 per kg (down 1.1%)
10. Skipjack Tuna: Rp27,164 per kg (down 0.13%)
11. Chicken Eggs: Rp26,986 per kg (down 0.38%)
