Current Food Prices in West Sumatra: Chili Prices Up, Egg Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday (4/11/2024) at 12:15 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include cooking oil (curah), skipjack tuna, pure beef, medium-grain rice, and shallots.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as SPHP rice, fine iodized salt, simple packaged cooking oil, milkfish, and chicken eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of mackerel experienced the highest increase of Rp1,330 (2.9%) to Rp47,140 per kg. The price of milkfish, however, decreased the most sharply by Rp1,580 (5.0%) to Rp30,000 per kg.

9. Red Onions: Rp28,950 per kg (up 1.51%)
10. Chicken Eggs: Rp28,540 per kg (down 1.25%)
