Latest Food Prices in Central Java: Rice and Salt Prices Increase

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (27/5/2024) at 16:49 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include simple packaged cooking oil, red chilies, medium rice, premium rice, and broiler chicken.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chilies, shallots, garlic bulbs, granulated sugar, and pure beef have decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of mackerel fish surged the highest by Rp1,620 (5.45%) to Rp31,320 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of red chilies decreased the lowest by Rp480 (1.53%) to Rp30,930 per kg.
