Fresh Chicken Meat Prices at Modern Markets, May 2024-2025

The latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center panel shows that the daily price of fresh broiler chicken in modern markets in West Kalimantan Province is recorded at Rp36,900 per kg. This price is unchanged compared to the previous day and the last week.

However, compared to the last month, the daily price of fresh broiler chicken in modern markets has increased from the previous record of Rp35,900 per kg.

Meanwhile, the daily price of fresh broiler chicken in modern markets in West Kalimantan over the last three months has decreased by 2.64%. According to historical food price records in the PIHPS price panel, the daily price of fresh broiler chicken in modern markets in West Kalimantan Province was traded at Rp37,900 per kg.

The record high for the daily price of fresh broiler chicken in modern markets in this province was previously recorded in July 2018 with an increase of 33.44%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in August 2022 with a decrease of -23.95%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in West Kalimantan show ten commodities decreased and 15 others increased. Basic commodities with price decreases include: Chili Peppers, Cooking Oil, Beef, Grade 1 Beef, Branded Cooking Oil 2, Chicken Eggs, Grade II Low-Quality Rice, Fresh Chicken Eggs, Red Chili Peppers, and Branded Cooking Oil 1.

The following are the prices of basic commodities monitored by PIHPS today compared to the price changes over the last month in West Kalimantan Province:

1. Large Red Chili per Kg: Rp139,000 per kg (up 24.11%)
2. Grade II Medium Quality Rice per Kg: Rp15,750 per kg (up 4.3%)
3. Curly Red Chili per Kg: Rp169,000 per kg (up 21.58%)
4. Medium-Sized Garlic per Kg: Rp65,900 per kg (up 10.02%)
5. Garlic per Kg: Rp65,900 per kg (up 10.02%)
6. Chili Peppers per Kg: Rp147,000 per kg (down 9.26%)
7. Grade I Super Quality Rice per Kg: Rp16,100 per kg (up 4.55%)
8. Green Chili Peppers per Kg: Rp125,000 per kg (unchanged)
9. Fresh Broiler Chicken per Kg: Rp36,900 per kg (up 2.79%)
10. Cooking Oil per Kg: Rp24,500 per kg (down 3.92%)
11. Grade I Medium Quality Rice per Kg: Rp16,550 per kg (up 9.6%)
12. Premium Quality Sugar per Kg: Rp17,750 per kg (up 1.43%)
