Food Prices in Banten on Wednesday (Oct 8): Sugar, Onion, and Salt Prices Drop

Prices of several food commodities in Banten today were observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (Oct 8, 2025) at 1:20 PM Western Indonesian Time, out of 25 commodities, 11 increased and 12 decreased.

Commodities with increased prices are frozen buffalo meat (imported), Minyakita, garlic bulb, broiler chicken meat, and fresh buffalo meat (local).

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as bulk wheat flour, milkfish, shallots, dry soybean seeds (imported), and packaged wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Packaged cooking oil commodities saw the highest jump of Rp447 (2.25%) to Rp20,304 per liter. Meanwhile, shallot prices dropped the sharpest by Rp962 (2.34%) to Rp40,228 per kg.
