Sumatera Selatan Food Price Update Today: Chili Prices Rise, Salt Prices Fall (Sunday, March 31, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Sunday (31/3/2024) at 09.22 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include garlic bulbs, bulk cooking oil, red chilies, simple packaged cooking oil, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk wheat flour, granulated sugar, pure beef, premium rice, and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies experienced the highest price increase, up by Rp1,120 (2.63%) to Rp43,710 per kg. Skipjack tuna experienced the lowest price decrease, down Rp900 (3.24%) to Rp26,850 per kg.

5. Red Onions: Rp35,120 per kg (up 1.56%)
6. Broiler Chicken: Rp34,200 per kg (up 0.47%)
7. Mackerel: Rp32,430 per kg (down 0.03%)
8. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp29,190 per kg (up 0.21%)
9. Skipjack Tuna: Rp26,850 per kg (down 3.24%)
10. Milkfish: Rp26,540 per kg (down 2.35%)
11. Granulated Sugar: Rp17,110 per kg (down 0.23%)
