Today's Food Prices in South Sumatra: Chili and Oil Prices Rise

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra have increased today compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Friday (7/6/2024) at 08.37 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 14 commodities saw price increases and 5 commodities saw price decreases.

Commodities that saw price increases include skipjack tuna, granulated sugar, dry soybean (import), red chili, and simple packaged cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as iodized fine salt, premium rice, pure beef, red chili peppers, and chicken eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase of Rp4,590 (10.11%) to Rp50,000 per kg. Pure beef saw the lowest price decrease of Rp2,070 (1.51%) to Rp134,910 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 19 food commodities in South Sumatra according to Bapanas as of June 7, 2024, at 08.37 WIB.

6. Chicken Meat: Rp35,480 per kg (up 4.32%)
7. Mackerel: Rp33,020 per kg (up 3.84%)
8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp28,490 per kg (up 5.44%)
9. Milkfish: Rp27,590 per kg (up 3.37%)
10. Chicken Eggs: Rp27,170 per kg (down 1.24%)
11. Granulated Sugar: Rp18,000 per kg (up 0.56%)
12. Simple Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp17,240 per liter (up 0.64%)
