Residents of Southwest Maluku Regency spend Rp102.74 per capita per week on mangoes.

The average expenditure of people in West South Maluku Regency to buy mangoes in 2023 was Rp102.74 per capita per week. This value soared compared to the previous year's expenditure, which was recorded at Rp51.71 per capita per week.

Average per capita expenditure is the cost incurred for the consumption of all household members for a month, whether from purchases, gifts, or self-production, divided by the number of household members. Household consumption is distinguished between food and non-food consumption, regardless of the origin of the goods, and is limited to expenditure for household needs only, excluding consumption/expenditure for business purposes or given to other parties.

Expenditure for food consumption is calculated for a week, while for non-food consumption it is calculated for a month and the previous 12 months. Both food and non-food consumption are then converted into average monthly expenditure. The figures for average per capita consumption/expenditure presented in BPS publications are obtained by dividing the total consumption of all households (both consuming food and not) by the total population.

According to the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) publication, the average per capita expenditure in this regency reached Rp1.15 million per capita per month in March 2023. This figure increased by 25.45% compared to March 2022, which was Rp914,59 thousand per capita per month.
