Prices of Low-Quality Grade II Rice in These 10 Provinces Are the Highest (Friday, September 16, 2022)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded an average daily price of Rp 12,030 per kg for low-quality grade II rice (per kg) in modern markets across several provinces as of Friday, September 16, 2022. Overall, the average price this week increased compared to the previous week's average of Rp 12,010 per kg.

Low-quality grade II rice in modern markets in Southeast Sulawesi had the highest price nationwide at Rp 15,100 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of low-quality grade II rice in this province remained unchanged. The highest price ever recorded in this region was Rp 17,600 per kg.

Meanwhile, in modern markets in West Sumatra, low-quality grade II rice was sold at Rp 14,500 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Following in third place, the price of low-quality grade II rice was Rp 13,500 per kg in Central Kalimantan, Rp 13,300 per kg in South Sulawesi, and Rp 13,000 per kg in South Kalimantan.

Meanwhile, 13 provinces had low-quality grade II rice prices below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest selling prices for low-quality grade II rice were DKI Jakarta, West Sulawesi, and West Nusa Tenggara.
