East Kalimantan Food Price Update Today: Chili Prices Up, Salt Prices Down (Monday, January 22, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in East Kalimantan today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday (22/1/2024) at 12:57 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include garlic bulbs, red chilies, mackerel, medium-grain rice, and dry soybean (import).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as premium rice, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), simple packaged cooking oil, fine iodized salt, and granulated sugar decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The highest price increase was for livestock-level corn, up by Rp890 (9.38%) to Rp10,380 per kg. The lowest price decrease was for packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), down by Rp570 (3.95%) to Rp13,870 per kg.
