Banten Food Price Update Today: Chicken Price Up, Sugar Price Down (Sunday, January 14, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Sunday (14/1/2024) at 11:11 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include bulk wheat flour, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), iodized fine salt, bulk cooking oil, and red chili peppers.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as granulated sugar, skipjack tuna, dry soybean (import), shallots, and mackerel have decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Bulk wheat flour experienced the highest price increase, jumping by Rp260 (2.63%) to Rp10,130 per kg. Granulated sugar saw the lowest price decrease, falling by Rp580 (3.44%) to Rp16,290 per kg.
