South Sumatra Food Prices Saturday (18/5): Sugar and Onion Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Saturday (18/5/2024) at 18.31 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include curly red chilies, shallots, red chilies, premium rice, and mackerel.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), bulk wheat flour, milkfish, medium rice, and broiler chicken decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Mackerel prices surged the highest by Rp1,160 (3.78%) to Rp31,880 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of garlic cloves decreased the least by Rp200 (0.5%) to Rp39,700 per kg.
