Latest Food Prices in South Sumatra: Onion Prices Up, Chicken Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (20/9/2024) at 12.06 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 3 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include bulk wheat flour, mackerel, chicken eggs, shallots, and milkfish.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as chicken meat, premium rice, and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp690 (2.88%) to Rp24,630 per kg. Chicken meat experienced the sharpest price drop, falling Rp170 (0.54%) to Rp31,110 per kg.
