Latest Food Prices in West Sumatra: Rice, Cooking Oil, and Beef Prices Increase

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (26/3/2025) at 11:23 WIB, out of 24 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include curly red chilies, pure beef, medium rice, red chilies, and premium rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as farmer-level corn, packaged wheat flour, bulk wheat flour, granulated sugar, and Minyakita decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of large red chilies increased the most, by Rp5,300 (10.97%) to Rp53,600 per kg. The price of mackerel decreased the most sharply, by Rp1,499 (2.81%) to Rp51,805 per kg.
