Premium Quality Sugar Prices in West Papua Province's Modern Markets Increased by 6.16% in the Last Month

Based on the National Strategic Food Price Information Center dashboard at 08:23 WIB, the daily price of premium-quality granulated sugar in modern markets in West Papua Province showed no change compared to the previous day, mirroring the trend of the past week.

However, compared to the price a month ago, the daily price of premium-quality granulated sugar in modern markets has increased from Rp23,550 per kg.

Meanwhile, over the past three months, the daily price of premium-quality granulated sugar in modern markets in West Papua has increased by 11.36% from the previous price of Rp22,450 per kg.

The highest recorded increase in the daily price of premium-quality granulated sugar in modern markets in this province was in January 2021, with an increase of 13.04%, while the lowest decrease was recorded in April 2017, with a decrease of -10.71%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, today's prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) in West Papua show 13 commodities decreased and 15 increased. The basic commodities with price decreases are Medium-Sized White Garlic, Fresh Layer Eggs, Chicken Eggs, White Garlic, Medium-Sized Red Onions, Chicken Meat, Rice, Grade I Low-Quality Rice, Grade I Medium-Quality Rice, Red Chili Peppers, Red Onions, Chili Peppers, and Fresh Chicken Meat.

The following are the prices of nine basic commodities monitored by PIHPS today compared to the price changes over the past month in West Papua Province:

2. Medium-Sized White Garlic per Kg: Rp60,750 per kg (down 6.39%)
3. Fresh Layer Eggs per Kg: Rp43,400 per kg (down 2.69%)
4. Grade 2 Beef per Kg: Rp165,000 per kg (up 32%)
5. Red Chili Peppers per Kg: Rp88,200 per kg (up 46.76%)
6. Chicken Eggs per Kg: Rp43,400 per kg (down 2.69%)
7. White Garlic per Kg: Rp60,750 per kg (down 6.39%)
8. Medium-Sized Red Onions per Kg: Rp63,500 per kg (down 9.8%)
9. Large Red Chili Peppers per Kg: Rp93,400 per kg (up 67.53%)
10. Chicken Meat per Kg: Rp41,400 per kg (down 3.38%)
11. Curly Red Chili Peppers per Kg: Rp83,000 per kg (up 28.88%)
12. Rice per Kg: Rp17,200 per kg (down 0.29%)
