Red Chili Pepper Prices in Bangka Belitung Islands Highest in Indonesia (Friday, December 2, 2022)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded an average daily price of red chili peppers (per kg) in modern markets across several provinces reaching Rp 78,820 per kg as of Friday, December 2, 2022. Overall, the average this week increased compared to last week's average of Rp 78,810 per kg.

The daily price of red chili peppers in modern markets in Bangka Belitung Islands was the most expensive in Indonesia, with a selling price of Rp 128,200 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of red chili peppers in this province has not changed. The highest selling price ever recorded in this region was Rp 160,500 per kg.

Meanwhile, in modern markets in South Kalimantan, the price of red chili peppers was sold at Rp 119,700 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Then, in third place, the price of red chili peppers in Maluku was Rp 110,000 per kg, East Kalimantan Rp 109,100 per kg, and Central Kalimantan Rp 102,750 per kg.

Meanwhile, there are 14 provinces with red chili pepper sales prices below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest selling prices for red chili peppers are East Nusa Tenggara, West Nusa Tenggara, and West Sulawesi.
