Today's Food Prices in Central Java: Chili Prices Up, Salt Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Wednesday (5/6/2024) at 12:34 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 4 commodities increased and 16 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are pure beef, farmer-level corn, red chilies, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as premium rice, skipjack tuna, dry soybean (import), broiler chicken, and bulk cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase, jumping by Rp430 (1.03%) to Rp42,250 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of iodized fine salt saw the lowest decrease, dropping by Rp650 (5.7%) to Rp10,750 per kg.
