Sumatera Selatan Food Price Update Today: Rice, Chicken, and Cooking Oil Prices Increase (Monday, April 15, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (15/4/2024) at 10:33 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 14 commodities increased and 6 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include packaged cooking oil (simple packaging), bulk cooking oil, medium-grain rice, pure beef, and skipjack tuna.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as dry soybean (import), granulated sugar, bulk wheat flour, chicken eggs, and red chilies decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase, up Rp4,210 (8.47%) to Rp53,940 per kg. Chicken eggs saw the lowest price decrease, down Rp960 (3.33%) to Rp27,880 per kg.

5. Garlic Bulbs: Rp48,270 per kg (up 4.59%)
6. Chicken Meat: Rp38,060 per kg (up 1.63%)
7. Mackerel: Rp32,110 per kg (up 0.53%)
8. Milkfish: Rp29,200 per kg (up 3.51%)
9. Skipjack Tuna: Rp28,630 per kg (up 1.06%)
10. Chicken Eggs: Rp27,880 per kg (down 3.33%)
11. Granulated Sugar: Rp17,060 per kg (down 0.52%)
12. Packaged Cooking Oil (Simple Packaging): Rp17,050 per liter (up 0.53%)
